Is it true that zebras were originally transparent?
But because the lions complained so much about not being able to catch them , God painted stripes on them? …………OK my understanding of the facts is that just for a lark God made zebras transparent. Anyway of course the lions could smell them but could never manage to catch one. So they complained endlessly to God and finally becoming exasperated God threw his hands in the air and went out and painted all the zebras with black and white stripes ,then turned to the lions and demanded “Are you happy now?” Wisely the lions ignored the slightly sarcastic tone in Gods question and just expressed approval.
